GT5: Prologue = on Blu-Ray disc will have no damage mode
The "real" GT5 = damege mode implemented plus ( word is weather physics { shades of PGR4 } will be added... wait and see if confirmed )
They ( now* ) say ( no* ) damage-mode for GranTurismo 5: Prologue on Blu-Ray disc format.
When before it was - { no } if you bought and downloaded from the net.
- { yes } if you buy it on Blu-Ray disc.
So for those who are eagerly anticipating to see any damage-mode, you will be bitterly dissapointed...
... guess we all have to wait for the "real" GranTurismo 5 to experience this feature along with { weather physics - still to ...
They forgot the ladies from XBox 360 Rumble Roses XX - Reiko and Co.
That sure is one big deceitful mistake. The most important part of the next-gen GranTurismo series we'ved all been waiting for is now to be delayed again for the next series...
Thought that they would implement damage-mode on the Blu-Ray disc format for GranTurismo 5: Prologue is all now gone.
From ( sim ) to ( bouncing of the wall arcade ) again.
Will now wait till it gets released, before adding my final conclusions...
Also, another very long wait till th...
Already got an XBox 360, so my next definite buy would be Sony's PS3.
Now that GranTurismo 5: Prologue on Blu-Ray disc is not far from it's
release date as well with their "rumble" sixaxis control pad which is
also out ( in Japan, but can be purchased on the net if you can't wait ).
Think the best time to buy would probably be mid-year 2008, when all
their other new games and peripherals comes together globally, and another possible reasonably ...
Worst possible investment really.
Only gullibles need apply.
Here's hoping Sony would release a reasonably priced bundle deal on their PS3 console and GranTurismo 5: Prologue disc with (1) standard sixaxis "rumble" and (1-free) extra "rumble" control pad plus maybe another free game/or movie.
'Cause I'm definitely getting one myself by mid-next year.
And will also be anticipating the release of the "real" GranTurismo 5.
Triple H, as in Hah ha ha
Cool ad, nice transition.
Will still wait till mid-year next to get myself a Sony PS3 once GranTurismo 5: Prologue comes-out in Blu-Ray format with sixaxis "rumble" pad.
>> The console for true gamers is still the XBox 360.
>> Gamers use their consoles for gaming and not watching movies.
Most prefer to watch movie on a separate stand alone ( HD or Blu-Ray )player.
Gamers mostly care about playing.
>> Value is getting the most games ( you ) really want to play on your consoles,
and by this simple reason alone the XBox 360 trumps Sony's PS3 and even the
Nintendo WII.

A few basic tips:
>> 1080p ( not 1080i ) - main basis
>> for LCD screens check for ( ms ) rating - the lower the better.
( 6-5ms ) should be your guide - again if it's lower, great.
>> do not buy when it says ( HD-ready ) for the main fact it's not.
go for ( Full-HD ) as price discrepancy between the two is small
and you get what you pay for.
Here in Australia - Hitachi was blasted for ...
I'll be buying one next year, probably by mid-year... when everything will truly be complete for the PS3 ( cheaper price, GranTurismo 5: Prologue in Blu-Ray format, Sixaxis "rumble" - hooray it's back ).
Thank for the info.
Is this Christie Monteiro ( the first chick ) from Tekken 5 based on some real person?
Because from this pics, she looks a lot like Beyonce Knowles... while the others are pure CGI designs.
The ultimate Sony fanboy
Looks like the PS logo was just pasted on those ugly looking-plasticky shoes.
Atrociously cheap!
Good explanation. Simple and easy to understand, now I'ved got a good guide to carry when purchasing my first HDTV.
Probably next time put in some simple tips as well on what to pick - Plasma or LCD.
>> PS3 is still a bit of a no-go-zone in many parts here in Australia.
>> Mainly because of the steep price - AU$649.00 = US$580.00 for 40gb stand-alone console.
>> And then there are the games, basically the lack of it/and or the slow pace - mostly delayed for how much longer we don't know.
>> Plus Sony really does'nt give a damn about us Aussies.
>> Sorry, but it's just so infuriatingly unfair that we ...
>> GranTurismo 5: Prologue in Blu-Ray disc format will have damage-mode.
>> Buy and download this game on the 'net, you will not have damage-mode ( for now at least... )
>> Yes it will be great if they can put weather physics ( ala PGR4 ) in the future. It works and is a fantastic addition.
Think it's not really copying/ripping-off in the full sense of the word - It just is part of the whole package to immerse yourself more and weather...
The only game that I could think of really is GranTurismo - but the hero in that obviously is creator Kazunori Yamauchi-san.
Which of the hundreds of cars must we pick? Definitely a Japanese made, probably the mighty Nissan Godzilla or Rallye cult-fave Subaru Impreza as a hero or a mascot? - they have to get permission first from the manufacturers.
Or just stick to MGS's Soild Snake... which he used to be, but then...
Could'nt see anybody else.
Got to rent it first as I saw a lot of reviews about this game. Must say firstly it graphically looks like an XBox first-gen game.
And yes, was quite enjoyable and a bit kitsch in them.
A just-rent only game.
